This Is Hip Hop by DonVinzone This Is Hip Hop by DonVinzone
ENG:
My tribute to Hip Hop, tried to avoid the stereotypes of graffiti and breakdancers and all. Just the dead legends and the ones who defined the East and West.
Went back to the black-white-grey-red colors of my Abstract series because it fits the music I think.

NL:

In short:
Program: Adobe Illustrator CS4
Time: 4-5 hours

KRS-One, Rakim & Chuck D defined the east.
Ice Cube & The D.O.C. defined the west.

What is a industry? Hip Hop's a culture, if that's what you're talking about?

"nah, never really been, except maybe when Arrested Development started."

You talk as if as "culture" as you call it, isnt big since it dosent make the big bucks in the world and gets played in white peoples homes or outside its own grounds. Its a industry to people like you who aint where its at; its clothing its Music its Movies do you know how much money there is in this "culture"?
I bet in the Netherlands you all have a deep connection to this "culture" that we here in the US dont have. lol

They dress like us They talk like us They walk like us,I scream fuck while the world is stealing our culture.

No, I just told you: it's a culture. And I know that corporate America and later the whole corporate world is now on it. I'm just telling how it was when it started.
